U.C.I.S story The U.C.I.S story

U.C.I.S is a financial institution specialising in customised finance packages for churches, charities, health care organisations and personal investors.

As well as finance and investment products, we offer extra services for churches such as automated giving programs, ways to reduce interest costs on loans with Mutual Support, and other services including car leasing packages for ministry teams.

For personal investors, you can support your chosen church or charity while your money is invested with U.C.I.S. Or you can access our Christian based financial planning advisory service through U.C.I.S Financial Planning.

What makes us a specialist financial institution for Christian churches and organisations?

  • We don’t just understand finance, we understand church!
  • We offer products that are customised to your vision and what you want to achieve, rather than “off-the-shelf” products.
  • When we say we want to build relationships and partner with our customers, we mean it!

Background
The Uniting Church Investment Service (U.C.I.S) was established in 1977 when the Methodist and Presbyterian funds joined at the formation of the Uniting Church.

Based on the principle that by pooling our resources and investing wisely we can achieve more than we could apart, that’s still what we do today: every investment with U.C.I.S helps us to finance worship centres, hospitals and schools, as well as supporting the wider work of the church.

U.C.I.S exists not only to promote the work of the Uniting Church in Queensland, but also to further God’s Kingdom by helping Christian churches, organisations and individuals from across Australia.

From small beginnings, U.C.I.S now manages funds in excess of $480 million, and loans of $440 million.

All funds at U.C.I.S are underwritten by the assets of The Uniting Church in Australia (Qld Synod) through its legal entity, The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Q).
