How do I access NETCONNECT?
Once your application has been processed, we will provide you with confirmation of your registration, along with an initial temporary password.

The first time you access NetConnect and log in at www.ucis.com.au, enter your temporary password. You'll then be asked to change it to one of your own choice between 6 and 12 characters.

Use this password each time you log in to access your investments and loans. You will be required to change your pasword periodically.

What should I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, or think the security of your password has been compromised in any way, please phone 1300 655 653 and we can provide you with a new temporary password. You then need to access NetConnect, and reset your password to one of your own choice in order to use the service again.

Can I allow other people to access my U.C.I.S investments and loans using U.C.I.S NETCONNECT?
Yes. You can permit nominated users to access your specified investments and loans, with a choice of two different access levels.

By granting them Full Access, they will have full and unrestricted access to your nominated investment/s as though they were their own. By granting them Enquiry Only Access, they can access details of your nominated investment/s, but are unable to perform transactions.
You will need to provide their details on an Authority To Operate form.

They will be provided with an initial temporary password by U.C.I.S, which is different from your password. They will have to change this to a password of their own choice when they first access the service.

Please note: All signatories to a business investment must complete an Authority to Operate formprior to gaining internet access. Please phone U.C.I.S on 1300 655 653 for more details.

Can I use NETCONNECT for my U.C.I.S personal and organisation's U.C.I.S investments?
Yes. You can access both your personal and business investments on which you are a signatory or nominated user.

Why do I need security for using NETCONNECT?
Security is necessary to prevent unauthorised access to your personal information.

U.C.I.S uses recognised encryption mechanisms to protect your information from possible misuse. These security systems are also designed to protect our system at U.C.I.S from unauthorised access.

It's also important that you maximise the security of your investment. U.C.I.S has outlined the ways you can do this in our Terms and Conditions section of our application forms.

How do I withdraw funds using NETCONNECT?
You can transfer funds from any U.C.I.S at-call investment into an account at any other financial institution.

To do this, you will need to use two numbers:

  1. the six digit electronic BSB (Bank-State-Branch) number of the financial institution you are sending funds to
  2. the account number of the destination account.

Please note that any transfers using NetConnect must be made before 2pm on any business day for the funds to be transferred on that day. Otherwise, they will be processed by U.C.I.S on the following working day.

Can I transfer money into my U.C.I.S investment from another financial institution with NETCONNECT?
No, not with NetConnect. But you can  transfer money into your U.C.I.S at-call investment from your other financial institution's internet banking service. You simply need to input:

  1. U.C.I.S' electronic BSB (Bank-State-Branch) number, which is 704-919 and
  2. the nine digit "cross reference number" for your U.C.I.S investment (not your investment number). This number is displayed on your statement, or you can request it by phoning U.C.I.S on 1300 655 653.

Please note that your transfer may not be effected immediately, particularly if you are transferring funds outside normal business hours, or after cut-off times set during the day by your financial institutions. You will have to check with your nominated financial institution for these details.

How long does it take before transfers take effect?
When using NetConnect to transfer funds from your U.C.I.S investment into an account at another financial institution, the following points apply:

  • if you make the request before 2pm AEST on any business day,
it will be processed by U.C.I.S that day and should be transferred into your destination account overnight
  • if you make the request on weekends or after 2pm AEST on a business day, U.C.I.S will process the request on the following business day, and the money should then reach your destination account that night.
  • if the request is to transfer funds from one U.C.I.S investment to another U.C.I.S investment, the transaction is recorded immediately and the money will be available in the destination account the following morning.

When transferring funds from an account at another financial institution into your U.C.I.S investment, you need to use that financial institution's internet banking service. Please contact them for details on the timings of transactions.

How do I set up regular or one-off future payments using NETCONNECT?
To set future payments, "Full Access" is required. For those investments that need more than one signatory to make transfers, two authorised signatories need to be present to authorise the payment.

At the payments button, select the type of payment that will be effected and enter the details of the first payment. Then select "Pay Later" to choose a once only or a regular payment. For a regular payment, select the frequency and date of the first payment. The payment can then be approved, checked and confirmed by following the instructions on the screen.
